Micah Belden Federal Defense Attorney

MICAH BELDEN

Micah Belden began working in Federal court as a summer Clerk to United States District Judge Paul Brown in 2003, where he was first exposed to Federal conspiracy cases and complex criminal matters. In 2004, he worked as a third-year bar card assistant at the Grayson County District Attorney's Office in Sherman, Texas, where he assisted in the prosecution of a murder case.

In the spring of 2005 Micah worked for United States Bankruptcy Judge Marvin Isgur in Houston, Texas. That summer he became an associate at a Houston bankruptcy firm, primarily assigned to work on complex Chapter 11 business bankruptcy matters. This experience included a leading role in planning the entry of a large security company into reorganization through fast-paced maneuvering, negotiations and litigation.

In the fall of 2005 Micah returned to his home community to open his own practice dedicated to Federal and state criminal defense. He has won criminal cases through acquittal, dismissals, and successful negotiations. He brings the fast-paced, high-pressure mindset of Chapter 11 bankruptcy work to representing individuals accused of crimes.

Micah is a native of Howe, Texas, and works with Don Bailey on Federal criminal trials and appeals.
